Should i go out of state?

I am wondering if I should go to a out of state college? I am hoping to go to UH Manoa in Hawaii. I am aware of the cost of living there, but its my dream to become a marine biologist. I am also wondering how to tell/ask my parents to help me go to an out of state college…? Should I go 3,000 miles away or should I stick to the mainland?

Are you asking for undergrad or grad school?

I think it is worth it only for grad school…

For both undergrad and grad probably. And if I would only go for graduate school, I wouldnt know where else to go for undergrad…

Stick to the mainland for your undergraduate degree. Lots of universities on the mainland have a marine biology degree available

In any case, if you really want to specialize in this field you will need a graduate degree and so that is where you need to go wherever you find the best program to fit your needs and which will support you full time in your studies. Try to keep the costs as low as possible for your undergraduate deree.
