Montclair is currently my first-choice school. They’ve recently become test-optional, and I’m not sure if I should include my scores. My SAT is a 1410 (490 CR, 560 Writing, 360 Math). I will retake the SATs in October, after receiving tutoring (hopefully). I’ll probably receive a 1500-1600, at least.
Should I include my scores?
By the way, I’m a rising senior, with a 3.3 GPA (may become a 3.4 this year). Montclair’s average GPA is only a 3.21. But, the average M/CR SAT is a 986, while mine is an 850. I have difficulties with math, although I’m great at reading, so I may be able to even out my M/CR score.
Only include your scores if you think they can help your chances of getting in, usually that would be if your scores are above the 50th or even better 75th percentile.
