Should I Just Give Up?

I have always been good at math. I score advanced on all the standardized tests and I received a 34 in my ACT math score. Because if this I was planning in taking the SAT Math 2 Subject Test. I ordered the Barron’s Math 2 Prep book and just completed the first quiz. I was horrified. I only had about 30 minutes to work on it so I did omit and guess more often than I usually would but I scored absolutely terrible. Below Average. Should I keep with the book, take my time, and do the reviews? Or should I just give up the thought if taking the SAT subject test?

Honestly I really don’t know what to think right now.

Barron’s books are made to be harder than the actually test so even if you had had the whole hour to take the test then you still would have a lower score than normal. I suggest you take another one with the hour limit to see how you do, but keep in mind Barron’s test are made to be hard.

If you take an hour test in a half hour, you should expect to do poorly. Try an hour-long test.

You only spent 30 minutes on it? No wonder you did badly, the test is supposed to be ONE hour long, not a HALF hour.
