Hello CC community,
I go to a somewhat prestigious LAC that has excellent connections post graduation, small class sizes , and an overall stimulating curriculum. However there is one problem. The social life is pretty bad. I’m not able to go out on the weekends and am stuck in my dorm on the computer. College is a time to enjoy yourself as well as prepare yourself for the real world and I feel as though I am lacking this key component. Any thoughts?
I think it’d be worthwhile to put more effort into socializing before transferring with no guarantee of it getting better. Are all your classmates also in their dorms on the weekends? If not, find out what they’re doing and join them.
I’m sure there are some ways to get social at your school. Otherwise it’d just be awful! Try to find clubs!
Why can’t you go out weekends? Have you visited friends in other schools that seem closer to what you’d like?
Are you not able to go out due to the workload? If so, what is your major?
Not due to workload just not knowing people lol
