I will very bluntly say I hate it at St. John’s. Most of my friends have already transferred elsewhere, and I don’t have much going on here. However, I’ve stayed this long because I don’t know if a CUNY diploma will help me as much as a private school diploma will. Aside from that, I really want to move out. My parents fight with each other and take it out on me, and I’m tired of the atmosphere at home as well. So, my question is should I stay at home and finish my education at St John’s, or go to CUNY so I can take the private loans I need to move out? Or should I stay at St. John’s and take out even more loans because the diploma there is worth it?
If you’re unhappy at a school, and feel so strongly about it, perhaps transferring out of St John’s would be the better decision. Although I do feel as though a SJU degree may be better overall, being unhappy isn’t a good situation to be in.
