should I major in chemistry or materials engineering?

I do like chemistry…but i am a ccc transfer student and have taken all the ochem and genchem already and it was super hard. i’m also not sure about jobs…chem seems very broad. and to be a big timer you basically have to go to a SUPER school…like stanford/ucla/hardvard/berkley/mit/and any other BIG RANKED SCHOOL.

but with materials you get to build and design stuff while knowing some chemistry. i also love electronics and how those things work. i wanna work for a company that is making things better for the world…(google, intel, any sillicon valley job, Dow ect.)

https://careers.calpoly.edu/search.php indicates that, at Cal Poly, materials engineering graduates seem to have somewhat better job prospects at graduation.
