Should I make EVERYTHING about science?

So I’m interested in a STEM major and I was wondering should I answer the short answer questions/essay questions with a math or science related response? I’m not necessarily referring to just the 650 word essay but the short answers too like when they ask “What historical figure would you like to meet and why?” Should I put a science figure? Or like a question like “what concept or subject intellectually excites you?”

Honestly I would put science topics for both because it really does interest me more than other things but I don’t want to appear desperate to the admissions officers like I am making everything about science on purpose just to get into like MIT or whatever.

I think you should answer the questions honestly.

My kids did.

@JustOneDad I would still be answering honestly. It’s like for example for the question I would have like 3 ideas and I would select my science idea instead because it corresponds more with my major. But science may have been like ranked 2nd in my idea list.

Use the one you think you can do the best job on.
