with a phase 1 appointment of Nov. 2 should I phase 1 math 16a?

depends…what are your other classes?

if you don’t mind a bad discussion time. then you can probably phase II it.

^I second what 88888888 says, even if you need Math 16A as a prerequisite, the class is large enough that you should get in phase II. That is, unless you don’t want a bad discussion time or can’t afford to take a bad time, then you might want to take it Phase I, again dependent on what else you’re taking.

I would normally not phase I math classes, but you might if you have room. Harrington is renowned for being the easiest math professor practically giving you the questions to the midterm. Math department normally tries to accommodate all students, but now with major budget cuts you never know.

EDIT: It’s only the first day of telebears and already 30 people have signed up for Harrington. If this rate increases (and it will) the class has a large possibility of being full even before your Phase I and the waitlist will definitely be huge by your Phase II.
