Should I pursue these major/minor combos?

Should I major in Mathematics and Astrophysics with a minor in Chinese
Or should I major in astrophysics and Chinese with a minor in mathematics?

If not, why? and what would you all recommend?

You should look at the requirements for each of these majors/minors and see how they fit together. There will likely be some overlap between Math and Astrophysics. There will be no overlap with Chinese, so that might be best as a minor.

Also keep in mind the general core courses you will be required to take, and if you expect to come in with any AP credits.

These courses of study will have pre-requisites and courses that need to be taken in particular sequences, so that can also be a challenge in terms of scheduling.

@InigoMontoya yeah I completely agree with the fact that there’s an overlap between physics and math. I’m also trying to think of careers that I might want to do. For example, if I don’t like astrophysics would I be better off with a math career or a Chinese major with a Chinese related career, I’m still considering that…

Just like there’s overlap in the requirements, there is also overlap in the kinds of jobs/careers you can get with a major in astrophysics and a major in math. A person with some quantitative ability can be in demand in a variety of career fields. You also don’t have to choose so many - you could just major in astrophysics, take some extra courses in math and take Chinese language courses. Or you could major in math, take additional physics courses and take Chinese language. Or you could major in Chinese and minor in astrophysics with a lot of exposure to math. Etc. There are lots of combinations that don’t require a double-major and a minor.

If you aren’t sure, the best way to choose is to take a class in each of those areas during your freshman year and see what speaks to you the most in terms of major.

Honestly, it really doesn’t matter. Do what you want to do. If you live all three and cannot decide, prehaps double major in math and astro with minor in chinese because you can always learn Chinese on the side beyond college.
