Should I put a title and a literary frame in my essay?

Hi! I’m currently writing the “Why us?” Cornell essay for their engineering program. I was wondering - may I put a title and make it a bit like a strory - with an anecdote at the beginning and somewhat of a literary framework? Or this would be a mistake?

Also, may I include a part of a conversation as a part of the anecdote?

I would not put a title. I am not sure what a title would add that your essay would not already say.

A story / narrative format is perfectly fine, as long as you don’t spend too much time on the story and not enough answering the prompt. It may even work very well for you by making the essay engaging.
