should I REALLY care about writing?

Should I really care about the writing section? I got a 630 on my Jan 28 test writing section part w/ 8 on the essay. Yesterday I heard from several people that most colleges and universities will not have an effective grading rubric for the writing section until 2008.

I plan on applying to NYU, Rice U., and that sort of schools by the way

My math and english scores are both 700s, I can substantially improve these but is there a point caring about writing, if it is not going to be given much importance? (I have been a notoriously bad grammar student I got a 49% on my 8th grade grammar exam, bad memories…)

just wondering

I hope not cause I cant seem to improve on writing. I got a 650 on jan sat and I just took the april one. Probably dropped to like a 600… As long as writing isnt counted, or counted less than cr and math for the class of 07, im good.

Depends on college. I think UCs give equal weight to all 3 sections, but I’m not 100% sure on that.

im a class of the 007 too
