I got a 2030 on my SAT ( Critical Reading 620, Writing 700, Math 710) and I feel like I could get higher (especially on Math and Critical Reading). I am applying to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, GeorgiaTech, UChicago, and Cornell. I know a lot of these schools are reaches, which is why I am considering not applying to them with this SAT score; however, if I can get higher on my SAT, I would have a chance to get into those universities. Also, when applying, do I have to send my 2030? Can’t I just send the new score (If I decide to do it and if I get higher)?
Just take it again, they will superscore (take the better of each section) it so there is no downside to sending both scores.
@TooOld4School Just so you know before applying, the statement above is completely false for ALL UCs. I’m not sure about the other schools’ policies but UCs only consider highest composite from a single sitting.
I must have missed that. GT and Chicago will superscore ACT and SAT. Cornell wants all of your tests from all dates. The UC’s will still take your better composite, so no downside to sending in both.
How many times have you taken it already?
