Hello!

I am applying for Mechanical Engineering as an Intl. Student to TAMU, University of Wisconsin, University of Maryland, Penn St and Michigan St, and got 1820 on the SAT , 670M, 610CR, 540WR.

Should I retake the test next week? or is the score ok for the mentioned universities
(I have not paid for the test yet, would need to call collegeboard an be on the waitlist)

Thanks in advance!

It can never hurt your chances to take the SAT again. It can only help. An 1820 is a little low. Be sure to take advantage of college confidential’s wealth of information on the SAT (look at the three top posts in the SAT section.)

Good Luck!

If I don’t take it anymore is it still good for the mentioned universities?

Google the name of each university with “average sat” at the end and see whether you feel competitive with the scores that come up.

Sure will , thank you very much
