I’m sure you guys are glad not to see any of those "Should I retake my 2380 threads"here

CR:640
M:680
W:720
=1320/2040

I improved my CR from 560 to 640 by spending 70% of my time on vocab. Sure I have a lot of time in summer, but I really don’t have the time or motivation to keep learning words to make sure CR doesn’t go down and keep reading everyday.

Collegeboard did just announce that they would allow you to CHOOSE which score reports to send starting March 2009, but I’ll have applied to college by then. Plus, some of the colleges I’m looking at want like 2-3 subject tests along with the SAT, but there is no need with my 29 ACT(I can pull it up to a 31-32 easily with practice with science. I’ll spend my time on ACT rather than SAT if I do take October). So basically, should I just try the October SAT just for the heck of it? I might score lower, and colleges would see it.

nah if you’re not motivated just do ACT

im in the same boat with you- 2110 and 31 act but act i had no prep so i might retake act

You double posted, but your first post is right above my original post, so my post doesn’t look like the one that started the thread. Does anyone else see this, or is it just my computer?

depends on what colleges you’re aiming for.

^^^agreed. It’s going to heavily depend on what schools you want to go to.

I got a 2050 on my SATs, 680 CR, 670 Math, and 700 Writing. I am re-taking them again this fall. That is only because my two top schools that I want to go to are reaches for me, Northwestern and Rice. If I wasn’t interested in those schools, I would be satisfied with my 2050.

However, if you don’t have the motivation to practice then I think taking the SATs again might be fruitless. There is always the possibilty of taking the SAT and the ACT again.

Depends, but your score is pretty much good enough. If you’re aiming for the real top colleges honestly it’s best to get around a 2200ish and above, I guess.

if you honestly think you can do better, then yes retake it, unless it gets in the way of sat 2’s.

OH **** RAHOUL!!!we both got the exact same score: check out my chance thread to see i am not making this up.

did u get a 12 on the essay?

I got a 11 on both January and June.

Sometimes you can submit your ACT score and not your SAT score, or you can submit both and colleges take the higher. Is it a good idea to still submit your SAT score so colleges don’t think you’re trying to escape? My ACT score of 29 is the same percentile as my 2040(95 percentile), and if I do bad on October, I should just not turn my scores in, but if I don’t take it, I still might just send the scores just for the heck of it. I could always get a 700+ on math easily, it’s just 1-2 questions separating me, but is that worth enough?

Damn you kid, I got a 2030… 10 points lower than yours
