Should I Retake my SAT for Stanford, UCB, UCLA?

Okay-decent personal statements.</p>

<p>I think I can do better, but because of money problems, I don’t want to pay $45 for the SAT (I already used up my fee waivers). </p>

<p>Will I get into UCLA or UCB without retaking my SAT?</p>

<p>For UCLA/Cal, no need. But for Stanford, you may need to. I would worry more about the SAT IIs though, they are rather low.</p>

<p>GPAx213: SAT IIs are even more expensive, so I’m even more reluctant to retake them, but Uc’s only look at my top 2, so they should disregard the low physics score right?</p>

<p>You should try to get 700+ on the SAT IIs.
Especially for Stanford.</p>

<p>Would colleges take into account your financial issues? If so, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.</p>

<p>No it’s not Jteh. I believe its like $20 base fee for taking SAT IIs and each test is $8/$9. Taking two would be about same as taking SAT. Regardless, if you are trying to improve chances, you should be considering retaking the SAT II first and foremost.</p>

<p>Edit: I believe you can still use fee waivers for SAT II, if you haven’t used any for SAT IIs. OR you can try for the ACT which I am sure you can use fee waivers on.</p>

<p>Referring to my initial post, I already took the SAT II this past weekend. I’m expecting my Math 2 to be at least 700. Even so, do you guys think I should retake my SAT IIs?</p>

<p>By the way, I’m perfectly happy with attending Cal or UCLA.</p>

<p>I scored a 29 on the ACT this past June, and I really don’t like it compared to the SAT.</p>

<p>Also, I already took the SAT IIs twice, meaning I’ve already used up my possible fee waivers.</p>
