Should I retake SAT due to August controversy?

I'm a current junior who recently took the August 2018 SAT. After taking the test, I started seeing comments on social media about how the August test had been leaked and how it may be cancelled. I do know now that it has not been cancelled (since I received my score today), but I'm feeling pressured to retake it because I'm worried that colleges who receive my August score will be suspicious of it and wonder if I cheated (even thought I definitely did not). I'm a asian female and got a 1540 on the August SAT. I spent my entire summer studying for the SAT so I would really like to not have to take it again. I've been quite stressed about this issue for a while and decided to make an account to ask about it since I didn't see anyone else who asked my question. What is your advice? Am I worrying over nothing?

Many thanks from a worried student.

Congratulations. I don’t think you should feel pressured to retake it just because of the leaked test. You didn’t benefit from the leak and I am hoping your GPAs and coursework rigors also reflect your academic achievement, I would not worry about it at all.

Congratulations on 1540, I am around 1500 on first attempt , Should I retake at least once to improve or 1500 is a good score ?

Thanks makemesmart! And to Score_check, I would say that at 1500 is a good score, especially for a first attempt. If you really want to get a higher score and have the time, then I would say you can strongly consider retaking it. However, 1500 is a score good enough for a lot of top colleges, so don’t retake if you really don’t want to.
