Should I retake SAT's for workshops

I might be an entering freshman to Kelley next fall and I was looking over the IB workshop application and noticed they ask for SAT scores. It is my understanding that consulting firms and banks both ask for SAT scores during the hiring process.

So should I retake the SAT in May to possibly improve my future chances at IB workshop and career placement? Or, is it not really worth it?

No, I cannot foresee an average-low SAT score affecting your chances in admission to the IB Workshop given the rest of your credentials are good/exceptional. SAT scores usually do not hurt you unless they are extraordinarily low, but even so they still may be overlooked if you have a solid GPA.

No. This plays a very minimal role in the application process. I never took the SAT’s (had ACT), and it was never brought up. If they are extraordinarily low then maybe consider it.

If it was ever brought up, just say “In high school I prioritized my athletics/job/extracurriculars over standardized test scores. Looking back I could have spent more time on them, but I still got into my favorite college, got $xxx amount in scholarships (if you got any), and feel like I am a more well-rounded candidate because of those experiences.”
