I didnt do so well in my first try of the ACt…i wasnt aware of the time constraints plus i didnt finish my review…i got a 22…but anyways i need to get at least a 27…is tht possible??? any suggestions??? …plus should i retake the writing if i got a 10/12…???

oh plus im an A student just not a very good standardized test taker…and again…i didnt finish reading my barrons book? should i keep the barrons? or get the RED book?

I had a friend who took it three times and got a 22, 21, and then a 30. She didn’t study any extra, she said she finally stopped stressing about it. Maybe you just need to relax because if you have straight A’s and are even decently smart at least 27 isn’t out of reach. It’s not impossible.

what is the best way to prepare for ACT if you are a A student?

My advice is to stop stressing. When you freak out and study every waking second for these tests, they get to you and you can’t even think straight once you get to them. Look some stuff over if you want, maybe review your weak points, but relax and walk into the test with the confidence knowing that you’re about to destroy this weak excuse for a test.

(I’m a straight-A student, and I’ve always tested very well, and I believe this is why. I don’t study, and it makes me a lot more relaxed.)
