I took it once and got a 29. I know the ACT is not required since I took the SATs, but would it be better for me to retake it? I already sent my ACT score to Upenn because they required it. I’m pretty sure Stanford and Princeton know my ACT scores since they were on my questbridge application (even though I didn’t send them an official score report). Since I’m not within the ACT range for these schools, would it be worthwhile to late-register for the December ACTs and retake the test to get a possibly better score?

You probably should, if you know that you will do better on it. That 29 is way out of the range for the schools you are applying to, and it may seem like a nice improvement to the colleges when they look at it.
