I would only send the 35 ACT if it wasn’t for my lowish math score of 32 (I have a 34.5 ACT LOL). I have a 790 in SAT math so does that kind of “make up” for it? If I send in my SAT I’m worried that the score is overall on the lower end of the spectrum for top schools. What score/scores should I send in when applying to T20s? I’m planning on being a humanities major if that matters. Thanks!
What’s your ACT English section score?
I have a 35 in English and 36 in Reading
Both
I don’t think it would be a good choice to hide outstanding scores in important testing sections, particularly your 790 in SAT math and your 35 in ACT English. I believe you should submit both your SAT and ACT results.
Your ACT score is wonderful, and I would just send that one!
You could send in the SAT score as well, but they’d likely only look at the ACT score anyways.
Here’s the thing: they wouldn’t look at the 32 and say “hey, are they bad at math?” That’s a question they’d think about if they see something on your transcript, and then they may seek an answer from your test score. Not the other way around.
There is no downside to sending both (possibly extra cost for any schools that require official score reports), and possible upside to schools seeing the 790 SAT math which is greater than ACT math 32.
