Should I send my APs and SAT IIs?

Hey all,

I’m a rising senior planning to apply CAS for Compsci, and I’ve taken 6 AP exams.
Junior year: Statistics 5, USH 4, Lang 4, Physics 3 (Proctor ended test early and I had 28 blanks like an idiot)
Soph year: World History 3, Compsci 3 (Proctor ended test early, not gonna go too much into that)
Should I only send my scores for Statistics, USH, and Lang?

I also have 3 SAT subject test scores;
Junior year: Math 2 (770), Math 1 (760)
Soph year: Chemistry (700)
As CAS requires 2 subjects, should I send Math 2 and Chemistry, or should I take another test?

Thanks.

Your SAT IIs are fine. You don’t have to take any more.

You could take another SAT II if you want to. When I applied, mine were a little higher, but that’s not really saying much.

And about your AP scores, I never sent in any official score reports, my counselor just told me to give her all the AP scores I wanted to send and she would put them into her recommendation. You should check with yours.

Overall, you should send the scores that reflect what you want to show Cornell. But if you are planning to major in CompSci, you should show them your AP score for that. On the flip side, here’s a tip from me: apply undecided to CAS, and send any score you want (definitely the ones you took a class for, at least). If you prove you’re decent in a variety of subjects, it would make for a better essay pointing towards a large slew of academic interests and there would be a lower probability of lower scores dragging you down.

I applied undecided to CAS last year and I’m planning to major in Comp Sci. My first day of classes at Cornell start next week.

No matter what you decide, though, good luck on applying to college! :-bd
