Should i send my sat scores to cornell and william and mary?

I’m applying for my junior year to these schools I have approximately a 3.75 high school gpa and a 3.71 college gpa from a top state school. My sat scores were 650 reading, 670 math, 710 writing, 710 math 1 subject test. These schools don’t require sats for juniors so I dont know if I should send them. I’m also out of state and william and mary. cornells range is 640-730 reading, 670-770 math. william and marys is 640-730 reading, 620-720 math. I know my scores are pretty good but I dont know if they are good enough for these schools. At the same time, I feel like if I don’t send them they’ll probably expect i did worse than this. so i dont know what i should do

Whether you want to submit your scores to Cornell may depend on what college there you are applying to. Cornell admissions is done by college, your appropriate reference group would be at the individual college level there.

The midranges for freshmen matriculating to the College of Arts & Sciences were:
2008 & 2010, each- 650-740CR, 670-770M
2009- 640-740CR, 660-770M

2010 Freshman SAT midranges by college can be found here:

Transfer admission numbers broken out by college are here:

The numbers for the contract colleges can be misleading since many of those admitted applicants had previously been offered guaranteed transfers when they applied as freshman.

IMO, ideally your scores would show that you would have been a fully competitive applicant with the rest of the admitted freshman class if you’d applied there in the first place. If instead they show you would have been at or about the 25%ile levels I’m not sure I would submit them, personally. But then, maybe if you don’t they’d assume the scores were lower than they are. It’s a tough call, and I’m not an admissions officer so I really don’t know.

thanks thats really helpful i actually wish i saw these earlier. im applying to human ecology and their 25% is 640 reading 670 so im basically 25% percentile. also does it seem very low that they only admit 40 transfer students? i thought a third of their class were transfers each year so shouldnt it be more like 80?

Hum Ec accepted and entering Fall transfers:
