I took three SAT subject tests that were required for Georgetown and got:
600 on Spanish (am going to retake) (28th percentile)
740 on Literature (88th percentile)
750 on US History (86th percentile)
I am of course going to send them to Georgetown, my question is: should I send them to the other schools I’m applying to? (University of Pittsburgh and Texas Christian University) The school’s websites or score choice info don’t say anything about subject tests and none of them are related to my intended major (nursing) and they’re not super high (I got a 1480 on the actual SAT)
I hear that you shouldn’t send them unless you have something to prove with them. My friend got a C+ in Pre-calc, and he wants to be an engineer, so he took Math II, got an 800, and an A in his first semester of BC Calc. He will be attending the Georgia Tech in the fall.
Do you have a low grade in history that you want to prove was a mistake? Then send them. If not, you may be wasting your money.
Since you got great scores on two of them and the other one will be retaken, you might as well especially if they are related to your major
I see no reason not to send the 740 and 750. Both are very good scores. They won’t necessarily help you at every school, but they definitely won’t hurt you.
