Should I send subjects?

I have a 1420 (CR + M) and recently got my physics and maths 2C sat results.
Got. A 690 and 670 respectively.
Should I send theses scores or not?
As their website says, if the subjects are the only documents missing, applications will still be reviewed,
What should I do?

Also for other ivies.

Do you have time to retake? Maybe if you improve your physics score you can get in the 700s. That is what I would do. And from looking at other Cornell profiles, they seem to have SAT 2’s in the low 700s- high 600s. Other Ivies scores are higher

Which school did u apply to? If its CoE ur better off retaking if at all possible. Anything below 700 in math or science is going to be a big negative. If for CAS, its not as big a deal but not that helpful either. If for hotel or optional for the school dont worry about it at all and just send. Bear in mind devisions come back in a month and CB might not send it in time if u retake. Sure they will review your app without sat 2’s, but if they were required, how do u think its going to look if they are missing? This goes for all schools, not just ivies.

Depending on what area of Cornell to which you applied, they may be required, in which case you HAVE to send them.

Applying to Mech E.
But their website says,
“If the subject tests are the only things missing, the application will still be reviewed.”
Worth sending?

Forget what the website said.

Did u read that link at all!!! They REQUIRE one math and one science SAT 2. It is an application REQUIREMENT for CoE and therefore MUST be sent. If ur not able to squeeze one more round in march, those scores are ur only scores so ya you really dont have the option of deciding if its worth sending at this point.

From their official FAQs:

What if I cannot fulfill the SAT Subject Test requirements in time for the application deadline? Will my application be reviewed?
“Although four of our undergraduate colleges and schools require Subject Tests, if those scores are the only required application item you are missing, your application will be reviewed by the selection committee.”

@Orangebobby Safe to assume that you’ll be fine if you don’t send it too,
@Boester22 your take on this?

That doesn’t sound to me like you can get away with not sending them. It doesn’t say “If you don’t want to take the SAT IIs, your application will still be considered.” It says “if the subject tests are the only things MISSING”–as in, you need to send them in later so they’re not still MISSING.

Those Subject Test scores do not help your application, but agree they must be submitted. Your SAT reasoning scores are also weak, with 1420 being the bottom 25% of accepted Engineering students.

Yeah, I think you send what you have. I believe Cornell and a few others want ALL scores, so you are required to send them in theory …

@StanCardinal
Keywords in that response are " …in time for the application deadline"
As bodangles pointed out, the FAQ is under the assumption that scores will be submitted at some point, but the applicant just didnt have enough time to get their scores in before Jan deadline so the commitee is reassuring that they wont auto reject people for only missing that initially. NOWHERE does it ever imply that SAT 2s are optional for admission to CoE.

So to answer the question, yes those scores are worth sending to CoE and the other ivies because without any SAT2s, your chances are 0.00000%.

Ok, I had to rush ship them.
I received a mail from Cornell stating-
“We would like to send your application to committee for review, but we are missing required SAT Subject Test results.”

Just wondering if all applications are sent for comitte review or only ones that have passed the regional admission officers. Or is the committee review the regional committee itself meaning all applications will go to committee review?.

Am I missing something here?

You are thinking too much. They are just trying to tell you that for your application to be considered they want your subject test scores. There is no way around it. SAT subjects tests are required for COE.
