Should I send/write personal statement?

This school does not require a personal statement, but often times that is a trap where most admitted students have written a high-quality personal statement.

Is this the case?

The school already has a pretty high acceptance rate, so what’s the benefit of submitting a personal statement?

My S23 didn’t submit a personal statement (used Common App) and got admitted with the WUE merit (3.7UW/3.9W/5 APs). I don’t think the admissions and stats-based merit considers whether you’ve submitted the personal statement, but you do need to submit an essay for Honors.

Not Utah but my son did not send personal statement or recommendation letters to schools that do not ask for them. Stat driven schools are stat driven for a reason.
