Hi! I got accepted to Stanford with a 1520 SAT with no subjects. Stanford really saw potential in me. I’m debating on whether or whether not I should attend Stanford since I do feel incompetent as compared to the students that got in with superb stats that are way beyond my reach.

Clearly if Stanford accepted you they did not feel you were incompetent and wanted you to go to their school. College is a completely new experience from high school and if you want to go to Stanford then you should definitely take the chance, because you were accepted along with all the other students there, so you are just as good as any of them in that respect.

My family immigrated from the Philippines 2 years ago. America is a new country for me. I don’t completely understand english, but Stanford saw the potential on the research I had in physics when I studied back home.

My SAT math section was 740.
SAT English 380
SAT Writing 400

Stanford loves diversity. Two of my brightest friends were denied to Stanford, but I was accepted. I think that was so because I had a hobby that stood out: music composition. Stanford saw something in you that stood out from the other 93% who were denied. I initially also had that feeling of incompetency, but I knew that others would probably feel the same way. You should definitely take this chance to expand your horizons, to grow as a person.
