I’m an international student at 4-year college and I was wondering if I should stay an extra semester. I had a very bad GPA of 1.8 during my freshman year but I was able to get my head straight and raise it to 3.16. This is my last semester and from what I’ve calculated, by the end of the semester I will be about 3.22 overall. Should I stay an extra semester to possibly boost my GPA to 3.4. I’ve calculated that it is indeed a possible task to do if I cover my F and 3 C’s.
My other option is to apply for a job permit which takes 3 months (will be issued by the end of the summer) to process and if I don’t get it I will just go back to my home country and prepare for GRE. I have 0 work experience, so even if I do get a job permit, it will still be very difficult to find a job. I will have to stay all summer in U.S without any friends whatsoever.
