Should I stay one more semester?

Hi guys,

I am currently a fourth year student and about to graduate. I am majoring in a foreign language that no one has really heard of it before and doing computer science minor. I have a gpa lower than 3.0. I know I am pretty screwed. Currently I am wondering if I should take the summer and one more semester to do a Cognitive Science major. I really like Computer science and as you can see I did not make it to the major however I do take app development courses online to work on my skills. So should I just stay longer to do a Cognitive Science major and try to raise my gpa up to 3.0? Please I know I am screwed but I really had a hard time the first three years of my college life. Thanks

Developing yourself further in computer science (CS) is a very good idea, whatever the structure you use (major or just courses, online or on campus). Demonstrated competency in areas of computer science is the stuff of value for you, so grades in computer courses matter a lot; the overall GPA doesn’t matter much. (I’m supposing you’re intending to go straight into the workforce after graduating.) I suggest that you try to get one or more CS internships while still a student.
