Hello,
It’s my first semester as a freshman in BS of Computer graphics and animation(the semester will end in a couple of weeks).
My problem is that I’m smart enough to handle something like engineering, so all my professors and doctors tell me to switch to something like software engineering or computer science and it would be a waste of brain if I stay in my current major. I don’t actually know what to do now since I’m good at both, I enjoy both, I’m capable of handling both, and both have a great future (software engineering or cs & computer graphics and animation). Can anyone suggest me a solution ??? Thank u
Sounds like double majoring or a major/minor combination of some sort could work really well for you (depending on what is available to you at your school). However, don’t just switch out of something you really enjoy because people tell you to! Make sure you’re enjoying what you’re doing no matter what.
I wouldn’t be here if this was an option. Unfortunately I can’t take a minor and I cant double major in this university
As I stated above. I do enjoy both of them ( i take some mutual sobjects that includes stuff about both) that’s my problem
Do you have to have your major declared now, or can it wait until the end of sophomore year? If declaring can wait, then I’d recommend taking classes in both and determining what you enjoy more once the time comes.
Also, if you enjoy them equally, think about how it’ll affect your life and career in the long run and which might be the best option to achieve your goals in life. Again, do not switch majors just because you think it’ll be better for you financially or something; make sure you’re doing what you truly want to do and enjoy!
Unfortunately I have to decide while I’m a freshman, and I do enjoy both but I’m not sure what I want to keep doing in my future
