Should I stick with IB?

I’m a sophomore this year, and I’m wondering if I should stick with the IB program (which begins junior year). If I choose not to continue with the IB program, I’d plan to take classes at the local community college throughout my junior and senior years, transferring to a university as a junior (my school system offers a program where a high schooler can earn an associates degree at the community college junior and senior year of high school, offering it at a reduced price as well, and still being able to participate in extra-curriculars at the school). I guess my main question is, does this sound like a good idea, graduating high school with an associates degree, in place of IB?

IMO the IB is much more valuable but I am a biased parent, but I suppose it depends on your path. I would see the AA as academically inferior to a good score on your IB Diploma, and the pre college prep is probably priceless in the IB. Again though, it depends on your college plans. I would see the full load of APs being better than the CC options here but that might be a local thing. Schools here do concurrent enrollment anyway for more vocationally aimed kids with an AA in mind but maybe not 4 yr college, and does IBCC, again for more vocationally minded kids. The IBDP stresses rigour, and rigour is stressed in selective college applications.
