So long story short…my dad is disabled (onset of new paralysis as well…) and only my mom makes money for our family. However, she does get paid fairly well, and I want to say it’s between $100K and $150K? I can’t remember the exact figure. We’re comfortable enough for every day life, but of course me attending a private college for $50K+ (provided that it’s full price) a year would put a strain on everything, since my mom is paying for my dad’s treatment, all our medications, bills, insurance, etc. I know she didn’t think about saving up for college for me because my sister received a full ride, but I know that won’t be the case with me.

I don’t ask her for money because I have a job tutoring, so we don’t really talk finances with each other.

My sister lives with us though she graduated last year…

Should I bother filling out the Profile for those private colleges? I feel like I won’t qualify for aid, but I think I have a sort of different situation.

Some of the colleges are Barnard, Brandeis, Haverford, Bryn Marwr, Fordham, Colgate, and Vassar.
