<p>Recomendation*. On intellectual ability, writing ability and creative thought, he gave me “one of the few I have encountered in my career”. However, for ‘concern for others’ he ticked “no basis” and for ‘reaction to setbacks’ he ticked “very good, well above average”. How would that come across to admissions officers? I don’t want them to think I’m self-centered, (lol, really I’m not). So should I still send them in? What do you think?</p>

<p>Your teacher probably does not think that he knows you well enough to judge your concern for others, that is no shame… And very good / well above average is still very good… I think these kind of recommendations help, because they show the admissions office that the teacher really thought about the recommendation and did not just tick all the “one of the few I have encountered in my career” boxes.</p>
