With respect to Top 50 National Universities as ranked by US News, my best guess is that you will be disappointed with the results if you apply to any school ranked among the Top 50.
Consider Santa Clara University–although it may be unaffordable even if admitted. UMass at Amherst may be worth a try. Michigan State & Indiana University should be considered.
Are you determined to major in CS ?
In which state do you live ? I ask as resident tuition may be your best option.
Not sure about CS, but the University of Kansas and Kansas State are likely to admit you & offer great opportunities.
P.S. Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania may be a great option for you.
Rankings are far less important than is the chance to major in your preferred area.

To the OP @wiindbreaker: Also be aware that some schools like the UC’s (UCLA and UCB) have minimum GPA requirements to apply. A 3.0 capped weighted UC GPA is required for in-state CA applicants and a 3.4 capped weighted UC GPA for out of state or International applicants. Even meeting the minimum will not make you competitive regardless of your other qualifications. Think 4.0+ Capped weighted to have a chance.

This thread offers some great advice. OP, I have the impression that you’re only running our thoughts through your own filters- you like your ECs and there’s a backstory to explain the lower grades in freshman/soph year.
Until you can stand back and imagine the impressions on adcoms, you won’t “get it.”
This isn’t about more EC focus. YOU said your issue is not misplaced priorities. But the point is how adcoms will react.
A lof of new-ish kid posters are taking this same view: that if they’re satisfied, that should be good enough. But that’s not a fully-formed (or informed) view.
The choice is yours.

Oh, I was busy and didn’t see that more people have came to give me their advice. I thank you all for this!
I understand what everyone is saying and will take them into account, I will also start taking into consideration what admissions will think of my application(s) moving forward as well as in state schools/CC if things don’t work the way I planned for them to.
Concerning my GPA, I’ve asked my Guidance Counselor about retaking some of my first semester 10th grade and 2nd semester 9th grade courses (depending on his response and other factors) in my 2nd semester of my Junior year and Summer before my . I hope this will change my GPA considerably, and even put me in a position where I can start thinking about higher ranked schools.
Again, thank you for all of your advice as they’ve really opened my eyes to the college admissions process. If anything positive happens ill be sure to come back to the forum to let you all know!
