Should I Submit This SSAT Score?

I got a 2214/88th percentile on the SSAT, and I don’t plan to retake it. I am wondering if it’s smart to send this score to Choate Rosemary Hall and/or Emma Willard School, as I believe they are both test-optional.

That is a good score. Can’t hurt. Will likely help, as they will assume you did worse that that if you don’t submit, but hard to tell how much it might help knowing little about the rest of the application.

Thank you for the reply! My grades are mostly A’s, but I’ve had a few B+’s. I think my interviews went well, and I’m currently working on my essays. Don’t have many extracurriculars because my school doesn’t offer much, but I’ve done almost everything it does offer.

Obviously, submit it. Choate being test-optional shows they already don’t care about it a lot. Also, I used to think people were lying when they said the SSAT doesn’t matter a lot. But then I did bad, then Andover told my mom a 70th percentile+ is good. Just work on your essays; they are what can truly turn around an application.

Thank you so much!

So where are you in the application process and what is your essay going to be about.

I’m still waiting on my math teacher recommendation and 1st semester grades, but everything else is done besides essays. I still don’t know what I’m writing about, but I’m brainstorming.
