Should I switch to the ACT?

So, last summer I did the ENTIRE CB blue book and I studied fairly hard. But I only got a 1920. Should I study even harder this summer (going to senior) and try to get a 2100?

Maybe the SAT isn’t right for me seeing that I put so much effort into it. After looking up the ACT, people say the ACT is more factual while the SAT is more reasoning. I myself am very bad at reasoning/logical questions. So the question is, should I kill myself again for the ACT? *** my grades aren’t even that good either… ■■■■

Try the ACT and see how you do.

Ah my mind is conflicting! Headache…

^ Why? Try a practice test and see what your score looks like.

The ACT has a heavy timing component so you need to be very efficient in working through the problems/questions. It does not have the high level of vocabulary that the SAT does and once you get familiar with the format you may do much better than you did on the SAT. You are also encouraged to guess since there is no guessing penalty like on the SAT. I would follow silverturtle’s suggestion and do a practice test but get familiar with the format first. I believe there are 2 online practice tests.
