Should I Take a Class Again?

I’m a prospective student who’s currently studying in Diablo Valley College. My college offered me a list of courses that I should study in fulfillment of the transferable credits. However, among these courses, I had already taken Discrete Structure (which corresponds to Discrete Mathematics in my UC major requirement) in the University of Iowa. I’ve asked my counsellor, who recommended me to ask Berkeley Admissions but it seems doesn’t work. So I’m wondering if you guys can help me decide should I take this course here again, or use the credits in Iowa to transfer to Berkeley, as for computer science major. The course number in Iowa is CS2210.

What do you mean Berkeley admissions doesn’t work? Did you actually talk to someone? Berkeley evaluates OOS transcripts. You need to do that. Call this number to set up an appt. Do it now as they only offer it during slow months. You can’t do it by phone and you must bring a copy of your transcript when you meet with them. Now, being as it’s only one course they might do it by email. Not sure. But the general rule is you go in.
