Should I take AP exams as a dual enrollment student?

I’m currently going to an ec school and taking college classes at the cc. A lot of the classes i took like psych, have ap exams offered for them. Since ap courses are the same material as the college classes, I was wondering if i should take the exams for them and if there would be any benefit to doing so?

The benefit in doing so is that unless you’re going to attend your state school, the AP exam may get you credit if the DE credit doesn’t transfer

Some colleges give credit or advanced placement for one versus the other (i.e. credit for an AP score but not the college course, or vice-versa). So having both increases the likelihood of credit or advanced placement, although you will not get double credit.
