I took a course called Basic Statistics for Research freshman year. Do any medical schools require or recommend you take Calc 2 or does it not matter. I don’t mind taking Calc 2 but only if some schools prefer it over a stats course.

A few schools will want Calc II over Statistics, but that isn’t the real concern here. The real concern is that your course doesn’t sound like a real statistics course. In that event, it’s very important for you to take a core math of some kind.

I was wondering about this too. I’m going to be taking general statistics because its a core class plus I’ll need it for my major anyway. I was planning on taking calc 1 at some point whenever I get around to it…but I wondered if I should plan on taking calc 2 as well. If I could squeeze by without it I’d prefer that but whatever it takes :p.
