I intend to be an Asian Studies major; is it worth my time to take college level calculus just for the rigor of coursework, or take another class for college credit that might better transfer towards my major? I am applying to top state universities - UWash, UWisc, UMich. Thanks!

Take calculus. It will get you out of the math gen ed in college.

I’d recommend taking Calc as well. It rounds out your application, and if you take AP Calc and do well on the AB/BC exam, you might not have to take calculus ever again in college! Otherwise, there’s a good chance you’ll have to.

Best of luck! I was wandering around the East Asia library at UW today and it looked really cool
