should i take it again?

i just got my scores today and here’s the break down

reading : 700
math : 780
writing: 630
essay: 10
total: 2110

i’m looking into georgetown, wellesley college, williams college, university of chicago, and NYU

should i take it again?

anyone wanna give me a tip? :(

i think thats a pretty satisfactory score for those universities. but it doesnt hurt to take it again, since they look at your highest score, and sometimes the highest of each section. =)

does it matter that this was my second time taking it?

My first score 2130, second was 2200. Only a small increase. No prep classes of any kind. I reviewed my first one the day or two before. I’m happy with my score. I have many EC’s and leadership extras to help me into top schools. It’s the luck of the draw. If you do retake I think you’ll increase slightly. GOOD LUCK.

for most of those colleges, especially nyu, the 2110 should be fine. U-Chicago has been getting more competitive, so i would recommend increasing your writing score. I wish you the best of luck.

thanks guys
so i guess i ll take it again in june

ew

I have somewhat the same question…
except… if you got low 700’s on all the sections and the total score is the same as someone who got high on one section and low on another… is a re-take STILL necessary? [looking at the same type of schools]

Should I retake?
Score-
M-760
CR-750
W-740
I’m happy with my scores, but some of the posters on these boards worry me b/c they are upset with anything below 2300. I want to keep my options open to the most competitive schools.
I think I could probably get a perfect score in Math. My writing scores seems about right, but my Reading Score was a near miracle. I may do worse in this section, so I do not know if it is worth the risk.
Do highly competitive colleges really look down on a score below 2300?
Should I retake to try to increase my superscore even if my second try would be worse?
Any input would be greatly appreciated?

please help!!!

bump bump bump

121889, You have scores good enough to get into any university. Remember that a lot of people with perfect SATs get reject from Ivy league schools.
