should i take more AP's?

I’m aiming for top 25-50 schools (I know no one here believes in rankings, but I’m just trying to give you an idea of what I’m talking about)…should I take as many AP’s as those in my school who are aiming for top 20 schools? I’ll probably end up with B’s in them while those guys end up with A’s. Would top 25-50 schools prefer A’s in regular classes or B’s in hard AP’s?

Take more APs because they will push you and you’ll be a better college student. As for being more competitive for so-called top 25 schools, know that viable candidates are regularly getting As in the most rigorous courses – of course they want As in heavy AP transcripts.

But if you take the non-AP options instead, you’ll surely doom any chance because you’re taking the easy way out. Even if you hit Bs in them, you may still miss out on top-25 schools, but you’ll be better off, IMHO
