Hey guys I am a rd applicant with a low stats, I am thinking to use the last chance on Jan to get a better stats.
I want to apply school of engineering and major in Biomedical engineering.
I am an ESL(English as second language learner) student.
GPA: 3.992/4.5 UW/W
SAT :N/A
SAT Math I 770
SAT Math II 750, still waiting Dec score, probably a 770
SAT Physics 680, still waiting dec score, probably 710
SAT Chem, still waiting score, but according to pratice test probably around 720-750
ACT 27 (E 24 R23 M32 S28)
Since ACT doesn’t offer test on January, SAT and SAT sub are my options.
Should I
1 Study SAT and then take the SAT on Jan, to see if my English skills get better or not. However, I have no experience on SAT test before, this seems like a risky choice?
Or
2. Study SAT subject test and take SAT sub again on Jan. I am aiming for a 800 on Math 770 on physics and 750 on Chem if i don’t get those scores on my Dec SAT sub test. I am taking AP Chem and AP physics now, as the school year goes plus self study I think this is good enough to review the tests. But I don’t know how much those subject tests play as a factor for school of engineering…
Thank you anyone who finish reading this, I would like hear your advise!
