well, I was planning on visiting my home country…
It’s been almost one year since I visited home… sigh…
but, considering how summer classes affect my academic career, I might as well
stay here and take them.

besides, I’ve been batting around the idea of switching major that might need some extra pre-reqs…

How funny. I’m actually in the same dilemma. This is my last year at cc, and I wanted to take the winter semester off to visit family in India. But…I’ve decided to finish my premed courses this winter, because I might switch my major once at Cal.

It’s such a tough choice, because this winter is the last time I can visit family until 3 years (I spend summers doing research). My life is really sheltered, so I would gain a LOT of life experience if I went to India alone…

You’re homesick, but at least you could go home after another year. But me, India is the only time I ever socialize, so I’m giving up my social life in pursuit of medschool. My career goals win. Which is more important to you?

Make a pro and con list and see which is better.
