Should I take tests in the same area if I intend to major in that area?

I want to major in linguistics / foreign languages and I’ve taken the AP exams in the languages that I can. I wanted to take subject tests in French and Hebrew. Would this be smart, seeing as they are both language exams?
Or would it be better to take just one language and one in science or history?

you dont have to limit yourself. you can take as many as you want … although the collges that actually require subjects want 2… (johns hopkins and georgetown strongly reccommend 3) but im youre majoring in linguistics then take the 2 languages (provided you KNOW you’re prepared)

I’ve been left with the impression that US colleges actually LIKE pple with “colour” in their CVs. A Friend applied for International Relations in Berkeley with SAT Maths, World History and Chemistry. He got accepted and some time later he was told that they liked his application for having “colour”. So I think it won’t heart if you have the time and efforts left to try to get sth more.

Agreed. You should show a strong passion in one particular field, but then show strong versatility all over just to present yourself as a good student.
