Hi guys. I’m a senior and I have a bit of a dilemma - I have a little more free time than I did last year and I’m not sure how to fill it.
I’m currently taking 6 AP classes (one is 0 period) so I have the option to take a 7th class. Currently the only thing I can fill it with is a Film Analysis class, which would be fun to take. I like leaving school early, though; it really helps with getting a head start on the day. Would taking this Film class, which isn’t AP or Honors, improve my chances any more or is it just a waste of time? Will colleges look down on the fact that I have a free period and decided not to fill it?
I’m also torn on whether or not I want to join the Debate team this year. It’d take up a lot of time, and on applications it’d show I only participated for just one year. Is it worth it to get a part time job to have work experience, or should I just go for Debate (I already have a lot of other club experience)?
