Should I take the ACT?

On the June SAT I got a 2290 (CR: 750, M: 770, W: 770). I don’t plan on retaking the SAT but I am going to take SAT II’s (Bio, Chem, and Math II) this October. Having said that, should I take the ACT this September? SAT-ACT conversion charts say a 2290 is an ACT equivalent of 34-35, and I’m fairly certain that if I prep this summer I can pull of at least a 34. Would it add weight to my application or would it be considered extraneous?

I mean, taking the ACT won’t hurt, but what’s the point? You already got a solid score on the SAT. There’s no use in stressing yourself out more, when you could be spending that time on other things.

I won’t be stressed out because like you said, I already have a solid SAT. I just wanted to know if a 34 ACT would improve my app or be considered superfluous.

Bump.

I think a 34 is equal to a 2290 - spend your time and money doing something else

Wouldn’t hurt you in any way, the decision is yours, your SAT score is great.

Eh, not what I was asking specifically but thanks anyway, I won’t take it.
