Should I take the Internship?

I’m studying construction engineering and really have no experience in the construction industry. I’ve worked for a municipality as a maintenance worker and during that time I’d enjoy work and get to go fishing after work. I live and breath fishing and no matter what I make time to fish. I’m practically a pro at it and almost became a part time guide. I was offered an internship in my field of study that is giving me experience as a laborer. The pay is almost triple what I made at the municipality and has me pretty wide eyed at the moment considering I’m just an intern and not in a union or other qualifications. I will finally get the experience I need in my field. However, there is practically no where for me to go out and fish. Just miles of endless cornfields. Do I need to grow up and take my passion away for over a year and pursue my career developments?

Can you fish on weekends?
