Should I take the SAT again?

<p>Recently, I got a 1910 on my SAT. My goal is to get a 2000. For writing, I got a 650. I’m planning to attend either a UC or CSU. For the writing proficiency requirements (UCs), it says that if we get a 650 or better, we do not need to take the writing test. </p>

<p>Should I still take the SAT again? I’m not sure if I can get that 650 for writing again. If I end up taking the test again and get a higher total score but lower writing score, would the test be nearly pointless? How important is the writing proficiency test anyways?</p>
