Should I take the upcoming SAT?

Hi everyone! Since the registration deadline for the upcoming SAT is tomorrow, I was wondering if I should take it or not…

Here’s my scenario:

I scored 228 on my PSAT, even though I scored around 215s on the practice ones I took at home. Maybe I do well under pressured conditions? I scored 74, 76, and 78 on reading, math, and writing respectively.

I recently scored a 2160 on my SAT, assuming I got a 10 on my essay, which I believe is reasonable. I got a 680, 760, and 720 on reading, math, and writing respectively. For reading, sometimes it just makes me go, “What the heck…” I get nearly all vocab, however. On math, it’s a matter of whether or not I make stupid mistakes. For writing, I think I depend on luck there. I really would like to get around 2280, even though the PSAT was quite a pleasant surprise.

Should I take the upcoming SAT? I’m currently studying for the USABO exam, so I don’t know how much SAT studying I can fit into my schedule. However, if I delay taking the SAT to May, I’d have to worry about my 7 other AP tests, of which there are 2 I am self studying. If I take the SAT on June, I might not have enough time to take another one, so there are disadvantages to all of them D:!

Thanks for your help!
