Should I take the 'W'?

I am a current senior in high school and I am taking astro 101 (an elective) at the local community college. I recently had a family emergency which resulted in me missing a test and at least one homework for the class, seriously denting my grade (was looking like an A). So far my teacher is being completely unresponsive to my repeated emails and it looks like I might have to drop. I would have to take the W if I did drop because of the date.

I plan on continuing to med school, would a W be unpardonable? Will it be unpardonable to even colleges at this point? I am physically going in to talk to the teacher tomorrow, but I don’t see much help being offered at this point.
Thanks

Lots of people have Ws. Don’t worry about this.

One W for med school is not a big deal. According to https://www.aamc.org/students/aspiring/basics/284780/application9.html</a>, just don’t make it a trend.
